Dance Party!

Hey there Kanakomo Ladies!

How was your weekend? What did you do? I got to hang out with some friends in my class at Silver Dollar City! It was a blast! Don't worry I'll post pictures later on...

Do you girls miss Kamp? I know I do... and I live here! It is truly not the same without you girls here. I miss hearing your laughter and seeing your sweet smiles! I can't wait for you all to be back!

Here is a fun video of one of the many random dance parties that happened this summer. You girls are so fun!

In less than six months Kamp will be back in full swing! The party barn will be swinging, the slides will be running, the ziplines will be zipping, and the fun will be happening! I hope to see you all there!!

I miss you girls so much!

I'm Famous!!

Hey there Kanakomo Ladies
How are you this week? I had a very interesting day today... I felt famous! But not really haha. I go to the Kanakuk Institute and it would not be possible without the help of all the donors! Today I signed over 100 cards thanking them for their donations!

It is good, especially during the season of Christmas, to think about what you are thankful for! What has God given you that you should be thankful for? Here is my short list:

1. My family
2. My friends
3. Kanakuk
4. Being an American
5. Having a Savior who loves me personally!
6. YOU GIRLS!!!!

That is just a short list, there are hundreds of things I am thankful for! I encourage you girls to make a list for yourself!

Love you!

Hello Kanakomo Ladies!

Yesterday morning I was craving some coffee cake something fierce! I miss my Sunday morning treat so much! I thought you girls might miss it too so here is the recipe you can do with your parents!

Kanakuk Coffee Cake
Topping (prepare day ahead and refrigerate)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 oz. butter
Instructions:
Combine brown sugar, flour and cinnamon and mix well. Cut butter into small pieces and work into dry ingredients with hands. Refrigerate overnight.
Cake
3 cups flour
11/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
11/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup margarine
1/3 cups water
2 cup evaporated milk
Instructions:
In a medium bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and mix well. Set aside. (Note: Dry ingredients may be mixed the day before, covered and left at room temperature.) Spray 9x13-inch pan with pan spray. Beat eggs in a large mixing bowl until fluffy. Add vanilla and evaporated milk. Combine margarine with water, then pour slowly into batter and mix on low speed. Turn mixer off. Add small amount of dry ingredients and turn mixer on low to combine. Mix well. Scrape bowl and repeat until all dry ingredients have been incorporated. Beat until batter is smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle topping (prepared before) on top of cake batter, covering well. Place in oven and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into 3x6-inch pieces to serve. Enjoy and reminisce on your favorite Kamp memories.

Enjoy ladies!!
